AHEC Scholars Spotlight: Makenzie Vesbach

A veteran of several AHEC programs, Mackenzie Vesbach recommends Scholars as not only a great resume builder, but as an impactful program in which you gain a great deal of knowledge. Mackenzie comes from La Farge Wisconsin and is a Medical Social Work student at Viterbo University.

Mackenzie feels that her learning and experience with interprofessionalism has been of great benefit to her and states, “ I want to be a medical social worker so being able to communicate as a part of an interprofessional team is very important.” Mackenzie also attended AHEC’s Wisconsin Express program and served as a paid Community Health Intern through the AHEC CHIP program. She advises younger students to “do all the programs AHEC offers!”
