The second cohort of the Scenic Rivers AHEC Region AHEC Scholars met for orientation this week. Of the 27 scholars in the 2019 cohort, 17 were able to join orientation to learn more about the didactic curriculum, community based experiential learning opportunities, and get to know one another. Following some get to know one another activities, the group discussed upcoming opportunities including webinars, the WI Express program, and using Canvas (online learning tool). Those students not able to attend will be meeting with Education and Outreach Coordinator, Brittany Thompson, in the next week. The next AHEC Scholars application cycle will open in the spring.
