Scenic Rivers AHEC announces a new award through Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare Community Investment Committee. The award provides $2,500 to support the Scenic Rivers Health Careers Camps, which provide students with a realistic and up-close look into a variety of health careers — including the high demand for healthcare professionals in rural and underserved areas.
Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare has been a long time partner in camp, providing job shadows and opportunities to interact with practicing professionals. The Community Investment Committee's award will allow camp to continue serving regional youth in their exploration of healthcare careers.
