The northern region camp held in La Crosse includes exploring facilities like: Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua and Gundersen Healthcare System.

Students from 11 area school districts were able to interact and job shadow a variety of health care professionals, including: nursing, physician and physician assistant, occupational, physical and respiratory therapy, radiography, and paramedic and emergency services, and more.

The camp provides students with an opportunity to visit college campuses, with like-minded peers as they prepare for post-secondary education. Campus visits included: Viterbo University, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Western Technical College with hands on simulations in health career educational programs, student-led tours and admissions presentations.
