Scenic Rivers AHEC announces a new award through Gundersen Health System Community Grants. The award provides $2,500 to support the Scenic Rivers Health Careers Camps, which provides students with a realistic and up-close look into a variety of health careers — including the high demand for healthcare professionals in rural and underserved areas.
Through the collaborative efforts of Scenic Rivers AHEC and a group of University of Wisconsin-La Crosse public health students, a proposal was developed through the students’ grant writing course. The proposal was submitted to Gundersen Health System Community Grants on January 23, 2019 and was awarded in early February.
