Similar to our northern region health career camp, we also hold a southern regional camp in Platteville, Wisconsin. During last week, from June 24th to the 27th, students joined us for the week-long program to gain hands-on experiences.
Each year, we work with Grant Regional and Southwest Healthcare systems, as well as, UW-Platteville and Southwest Technical College to give students a realistic look at the careers and educational options to reach those future healthcare careers. Students participated in hands-on experiences including multiple job shadows, simulation labs, tours of college campuses, and participated in evening activities during this residential camp experience.
