On April 5th, over 122 students representing dietetics, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant, and social work gathered for third annual I.M.P.A.C.T. (Interprofessional Model of Patient Care Training) 3.0 at Viterbo University.

Students worked in teams to address standardized patient needs. Patients had involved cases with multiple factors affecting their health, including many social determinants of health like housing, accessibility to to healthy food, and socio-economic status. Students were able to gain knowledge of their peers professions, and many students were surprised by dietetics scope of practice and the realization of how important social workers are.

During the program debriefing, one student summarized the goal of the event and her learning stating, "[We] practiced real world collaboration with our future colleagues."
