Scenic Rivers AHEC is just starting its fourth year of the HPV Immunization Education Project. Over the last four years, Regional HPV Educator, Aubrey Stetter-Hesselberg, has been building relationships across the three state region of Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
This work focuses on healthcare provider and healthcare professions student education related to the impact of provider recommendation. Each year of the grant, the goal is to provide education to 300 providers per state.
At the beginning of this year’s grant, Aubrey has attended the HPV Summits in Green Bay and Eau Claire in October. Participation in the Iowa Cancer Conference kicked things off in Ankeny, Iowa.
Aubrey is working on confirming presentations with student groups across the region. Submissions have been made to present at the Minnesota Public Health Association Conference, the Wisconsin Public Health Association Conference, and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin.
