Surgeon or a PA
What was your first experience with AHEC and what did you learn from it?
I went to the ICE house for their career exploration day and I learned many different things about many different careers, such as how to intibate, pull out foreign objects in someones throat, and more.
Did you continue to participate in any AHEC programs such as camp counselor, AHEC alumni or AHEConnect?
Yes, I participated in AHEConnect.
Do you have plans to take advantage of AHEC programs in the future?
I would like to attend one of the Health Careers Camps.
What advice would you give to younger students starting to navigate their future in a health care career?
The AHEC program is definitely something to look into. Everything we have done has helped lead me closer into my career path. It opens your eyes to see that there are so many options in the health care industry to choose from.
