Hands on Health Day
Hands on Health days start with individual student job shadows with healthcare professionals, followed by simulations in the world-class simulation labs at the Integrated Center for Education (ICE House) on the Gundersen, La Crosse campus. On January 28th, students from La Crosse Central & Logan, West Salem and Youth Initiative High schools participated in this event designed to provide hands on job related experience to future healthcare professionals.


AHEC Scholars 2019 Cohort Kick Off
The second cohort of the Scenic Rivers AHEC Region AHEC Scholars met for orientation this week. Of the 27 scholars in the 2019 cohort, 17 were able to join orientation to learn more about the didactic curriculum, community based experiential learning opportunities, and get to know one another. Following some get to know one another activities, the group discussed upcoming opportunities including webinars, the WI Express program, and using Canvas (online learning tool). T
