Pathways to a Healthcare Career was held Wednesday, November 13th, even with the snow falling. Gundersen Health System's Integrated Center for Education and Scenic Rivers AHEC welcomed over 50 students and parents. Hands on Health Day
Hands on Health days start with individual student job shadows with healthcare professionals, followed by simulations in the world-class simulation labs at the Integrated Center for Education (ICE House) on the Gundersen, La Crosse campus. On October 25th, students from Aquinas, Central, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, Logan and Onalaska High schools participated in this event designed to provide hands on job related experience to future healthcare professionals.


Mini Interprofessional Case Competition Participants Tackle Tough Topics
In partnership with the Pre-Health Professions Center at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, Scenic Rivers hosted its first Mini IP Case Competition on October 9, 2019. The goal of the Mini IP Case Competition is to introduce students to healthcare problem solving with a focus on building interprofessional teamwork skills.
