

Scenic Rivers AHEC Welcomes Brittany Thompson
Joining the Scenic Rivers AHEC team is Brittany Thompson. Brittany will focus on implementing and supporting the AHEC Scholars program, and will provide leadership to the final year of the HPV Immunization Grant project. Brittany brings a wealth of experience in higher education and partnership building. Exploratory Surgery: Bangor, Blair-Taylor, De Soto, G-E-T, Sparta, Tomah and Westby
During our exploratory surgery event on November 7th, students were able to view a surgery via live stream video and interacted with the surgical staff. After the surgery, the students participate in surgery simulations in the world-class simulation labs at the Integrated Center for Education (ICE House) on the Gundersen, La Crosse campus. Hands on Health Day
We look to give students as much real-life exposure as we can for each one of our programs. By teaming up with local health organization such as Gundersen Health Systems for Hands on Health Days, students get to meet with healthcare professionals for individual job shadows.
