Rural Health Experience: UW-L Pre-Health Students
Pre-health professions students from UW-La Crosse visited Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare-Sparta to learn more about healthcare careers and working in a rural environment. Presentations about physical therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation, pharmacy, and cardiac pehabilitation provided great information for the students. Hands on Health Day with Seneca, Wauzeka-Steuben, and Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau High Schools
We look to give students as much real-life exposure as we can for each on of our programs. By teaming up with local health organization such as Gundersen for Hands on Health Days, students get to meet with healthcare professionals for individual job shadows.
