Scenic Rivers AHEC (SRAHEC) is one of seven geographically located centers throughout the state of Wisconsin. These seven centers are community-based, not-for-profit organizations whose shared goal is to improve access to health care by improving the number, distribution, and diversity of health care provided in the region they serve. The state AHEC program office is located at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin.

| The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health provides space, administrative and program staff for the AHEC Statewide Program Office on the UW-Madison campus. The Program Office provides oversight of statewide activities in partnership with a statewide board of directors composed of representative from each Center, the academic partners, and state and community organizations.

The SRAHEC office is located in the scenic rural community of Cashton, Wisconsin. This office oversees AHEC programming in a 10 county region including Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Juneau, Vernon, Crawford, Richland, and Grant counties.
The goal of SRAHEC is to improve the health of the residents in underserved communities within the region by connecting students to health care careers and linking health care professionals to these communities. Also, through joint collaboration with local health care entities, educational institutions, and many social service agencies and partners, SRAHEC strives to improve access to health care in southwestern Wisconsin.
